RESISTORES DE CARGA PARA UNA MAYOR SEGURIDAD DE FUNCIONAMIENTO Y VIDA ÚTIL

Los resistores de carga REO pueden retener y acumular de forma temporal mayores cargas de impulso.

Gracias a la tecnología de devanado especial, los hilos de los resistores de carga están disponen de un aislamiento especial y ofrecen así una mayor rigidez dieléctrica. Los resistores de carga de REO están disponibles en las clases de protección IP00 hasta IP65 y ofrecen una elevada seguridad de funcionamiento y vida útil.

    The REOhm NTT R 150 resistors are used for example in railway engineering, electric vehicles or commercial vehicles as charging or damping resistors (even as braking resistors up to 100 kw power). They are used to damp over-voltages or to dissipate excess energy that originates, for example, on braking or starting up. This is done by converting the electrical energy into heat in the resistor.


    Moreover, the resistor is very well protected against mechanical loads. This ensures a long-term functional reliability. Only railways-approved, high-quality raw materials are used for the REOhm NTT R 150 series. The connecting leads and all the other components are specially designed for the railway application. Only materials with railway approval are used.

    The braking resistor REOHM 154 protects the machine from a voltage rise in the intermediate circuit, if an electric machine operates as a generator (Electromotive brake). The current reduces also the speed of the machine. 


    The serie REOHM 154 is available as braking resistor (series BW) or as charging resistor (series R).


    As 154 R (Charging resistor, damping resistor, filter resistance, etc.)


    The charging resistor is a current limiting resistor for the charging and discharging of capacitors and limitates for example the current flowing into the intermediate circuit capacitor inrush current. For this the device must be designed for a high single pulse energy and nominal voltage. The inductance of the resistor contributes to limit the inrush current, so wirewound resistors are the right choice.

    Due to their high protection class up to IP66, the resistors of the REOHM 155 series are particularly suitable for aggressive environments.Better heat dissipation and better dynamic behaviour of the resistors have been achieved by filling heat conducting material surrounding the wound body. The resistors of the series 155 are available as braking resistors, charging resistors or high-voltage resistors. 


    As BW (Braking resistor)


    When an electric machine operates as a generator (Electromotive brake), the braking resistor protects the machine from a voltage rise in the intermediate circuit. The current reduces als the speed of the machine.

The specially designed winding technology allows a higher withstand voltage due to the spatial separation of the wires. The use of railway-compatible and high quality materials, together with the complete encapsulation in profile design allows protection ratings up to IP66.

    Resistances of REOHM Series 156 are characterized by their high power density with a small mounting area. Due to their high degree of protection up to IP66  they can be used even in particularly aggressive environmental conditions  (eg salt spray). The resistors are available as braking resistors , charge-, attenuation,- and filter resistors or as UL version.

    The series D 158 can be used as braking or load resistor for drive technology, industrial applications, test fields, E-Mobility and railway engineering with integrated water cooling. Thanks to localised, optimised cooling, high outputs can be generated in the smallest space with low heat generation. It is also possible to deploy it in areas with high ambient temperatures.


    The resistors are available as braking-, load-, or highvolt resistors.
